A Blue Angel jet flew so low over a Florida beach during an air show that it sent chairs, umbrellas, and sand flying. Eyewitness footage shows the plane flying incredibly low over spectators at Pensacola Beach on Wednesday (15 July) morning. Officials from Naval Air Station Pensacola said in a statement: "During an arrival manoeuvre, an aircraft flew lower than standard profiles, resulting in a disturbance on the beach that affected civilian chairs and umbrellas.” It said it would be investigating the stunt known as a “low-altitude pass”. “The safety of our hometown community, spectators, and our pilots is our highest priority,” it continued.
