Watch as Mike Johnson avoids a question on reports that the Department of Justice is considering settling Donald Trump’s $10billion lawsuit. In Janaury, the US president sued the IRS and the Treasury Department after he accused the agencies of failing to prevent a leak of his tax information during his first term. On Wednesday (13 May), the Speaker of the House of Represenatives was questioned by a reporter if the potential settlement is a “conflict of interest”. “One of the things that is not in my purview is the DOJ, ok?,” he said. “I haven't thought about that or read into it. I got enough to say grace over every day. Go ask the executive branch.”
