A 140mph pursuit ended with a drug driver's BMW 3 Series going airborne over a roundabout in Yorkshire. In July 2025, a member of the public reported a vehicle driving dangerously in Garrowby Hill. Police tracked down the BMW and activated blue lights. The driver failed to stop, reaching speeds of 140mph during the pursuit. The driver then hit a roundabout and became airborne, rolling several times before stopping in a hedge. Ashley Parr, 35, of Moorland Drive in Guiseley, Leeds, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, drug driving, and drink driving. He was sentenced on Monday (20 April) at York Crown Court to 16 months behind bars and handed a driving ban of three years and eight months.
